So last Saturday was awesome!  I thought, for a bit of spice, I'll get someone else to tell you all about it.  Colin Alexander, the Western Cape's keenest paddler last season, was having such a great session I asked him to share with you all how it went.

While the middle of winter had arrived no one would have guessed it if they had been at Fish Hoek on Saturday morning.

A smaller class than normal turned up for what looked like awesome conditions for an easy paddle to Muizenberg with some wave catching fun and a paddle back on the glassy windless sunny conditions.class 21 June 

Mark Beck?, Kevin Brunette?, Andrew Brouckaert?, Brett Steyn?, Dale Lewis?, Sean Hooper? All regulars that were missing these great conditions.

I believe the river dogs were doing another race and Dale Lewis was trying out his new CS Maxi after he lost his boat to the Berg and the race to Colin and Brett the previous week. (10km walk through farmlands to find help). The Paddling Centre was excellent in getting him a new powder blue canoe with handles within a week.

Anyway back to the serious stuff of surf ski paddling.

Conditions looked great and we were ready but not for what Dawid had in store. The class started with a warm up jog along the beach which was not too bad but the Ocean was looking lovely.
