The Windguru Star Rating has nothing to do with accuracy, it tells you when can go Kitesurfing !
One star = big kite please cause it's 10 -15 knots
Two star = getting better cause now it's 16 - 20 knots
Three star = now we really are having fun cause it's 21 knots plus.

A far better site is www.windreport.co.za - and it is Cape Town based.

It has a 'pro' version of Windguru which gives a far better indication of expected conditions.
This "modified wind" forecast includes the localised thermal land effects which amplify the southerly wind component of the standard Windguru NOAA global model.
