Well we started off the new season of saturday morning surfski session with a fantastic morning's paddling. I dare say that conditions oculd not have been better. The sun was out, the sea was calm and there wasn't a breath of wind. The crystal clear water made for some spectacular scenery as the two early morning groups headed off towards Muizenberg. The Advanced group went all the way and the Expert group, who started 30min later, made it all the way onto Danger Beach in St James. The two groups met up off the reef at Danger Beach and we all made our way back to Fish Hoek. A fantastic paddle.
The flat calm sea made for perfect learning conditions for the Paddler and ABC Intro group at 10 and 11. The guys and gals had a fantastic time getting some paddling done without having to worry about wind and waves.
We have a new band of merry men lending their hands and expertise at the VarsityCollege Surfskischool this season. Would you all please welcome Jono Webb, Simon Oosthuizen, Aden Kleeve, Craig Flannigan and Dominic Notton to the fray. These guys are all qualified lifeguards at the Fish Hoek Surf Lifesaving Club. They'll become a common sight on Fish Hoek beach during this surfski season. |
