Good morning and good morning!
What a fantastic Monday hey? Shame, poor cyclists....sorry if you were one of them; that wind yesterday was intense to say the least. But the race went ahead and must have been the World Record for Exfoliations in one day, 39 000, along the Glencairn to Simonstown stretch and then another hit in Hout Bay, as beach sand buffeted bikes and their cyclists.

Saturday was an absolute peach of a day and Surfskischool was really really cool. The Ocean Advance Class was brought into existence and we have some measureable qualifying criteria: Fish Hoek to ClanStuart Wreck and back in under 55mins - total distance 8.2kms. The two Ocean Paddler classes had one or two waves to deal with, but the windlessness and warm clear water made up for the odd wipeout. The 10am class had it especially bad with regards the waves. There were one or two lengthy swims but everyone survived and plenty of smiles going around afterwards. By the time the Ocean ABC class hit the water things had calmed down again and our first timers had some fantastic paddling.

14:00 Ocean Expert session starts
14:15 Ocean Advance session starts
If you are joining in either of the Ocean Paddler sessions you may bring a friend along with you to try out some paddling.

THANK YOU to everyone concerned with Holly's well being, especially on the morning after her traumatic ordeal. Sorry you had to witness the subsequent loss of temper by myself and then Jasper. You will all be glad to know that, firstly Holly is okay and loving all the attention; and secondly, I went and had a quiet word with the man and debunked the incident in a more civilised manner.
